Every woman has the right to feel beautiful, confident, and sensual. Your worst critic is yourself. The very fact that you booked a boudoir photo shoot demonstrates your courage and desire for a new experience.
Here are 5 ways to calm your nerves and boost your confidence before photo shoots:
1. Be honest.
If you’re nervous, just say so! By naming your fears, we take away their power. I’ve worked with many women who have felt the same way you do. This won’t stop us from taking beautiful, sensual shots. The right music can be a great guide to a world of sensual movements that look beautiful in photos.
2. Nobody expects you to be a professional model.
Before the shoot, it’s a good idea to look at models and boudoir photos for inspiration. Remember, no one is judging your experience, and my job is to help you relax and offer posing tips to create stunning shots. We have extensive experience working with women who don’t often have photo sessions.
3. Hold on to your “why?”
Why did you book a boudoir shoot? Think about what made you agree to this type of shoot. It could be a desire to give your boyfriend a gift, celebrate a “new body, ” a breakup, feel beautiful, or perhaps many other reasons. I want the photo shoot to satisfy your “why.”
4. Be authentic.
Perfectionism and anxiety are the enemies of capturing sensual, lively images. The sexiest girls aren’t those who try to be sexy, but simply feel and enjoy themselves. Nature created you beautiful and amazing. Allow yourself these feelings and emotions, and then your body and facial expressions will naturally help you express yourself on camera.
5. Take your time.
Breathe calmly, move slowly, and take time to feel your body and emotions. There’s no need to rush; we’ll get everything done. Your shoot should be inspiring and honest. True feelings can’t be faked or Photoshopped. So relax and enjoy the process, and my team and I will help you with everything else.
